Keynote Speaker Ali Warren:
Ali has been a volunteer firefighter since age 16 and is the successful self-published author of Where Hope Lives. Her memoir, in its second print, tells about her experience as a sixteen year old girl in the male-dominated world of firefighting, where she struggled, but overcame intimidation and countless obstacles relating to her gender, size and unwillingness to conform to the demeaning male standards for a female in her fire house. Ali's passion is presenting her inspiring universal message of hope to high school and college students, community groups and a diverse array of organizations. For students, she co-developed a companion lesson plan for Where Hope Lives.

Ali is a firefighter with the Alpha Fire Company, an Emergency Medical Technician with Centre Life Link Emergency Medical Services and co-teaches a monthly 20-hour Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) class. She lives in State College, PA.
